🖆 In a computer system, input information is provided to the computer from the outside world and after analyzing this input information, the results and information that are expressed in the outside world are called output. This output is usually displayed on a video display unit or stored in a memory. We have already learned that the computer usually converts the results of binary code into a language that we understand and sends it to the output unit and thus we get the results we need.
The device with the help of which we can see, hear or print the results or information provided from the outside world is called an output device.
Example: Monitor, Printer, Speaker, Teleprinter, Plotter etc.
Classification of Output Devices:
We generally see two types of output devices. Sometimes the output is displayed on the screen, and sometimes it is printed on paper. The output in the first field is called soft copy output, and the output in the second field is called hard copy output. So we can divide the output devices into two categories and they are -
