REPORTING

Verbal or written explanation of an event or situation that provides us with information about the event is called Reporting.

When the constitution of the organization has been created, the recruitment of balanced staff in various positions has been completed, the addition of employees has been established, we need to know in which position the person sitting will report to whom or to whom will he submit his job description? In this situation we need to make sure that there is only one reporting relationship or position of superior authority for the individual working in the organization. This phenomenon is called Unity of Command or unity of command or basicity of command (there will be one superior person to direct the staff or staff). We also need to ensure that a transparent and unbroken line of authority flows through the organizational structure that extends from lower to higher levels. For example, a worker working on a milling machine will submit his job description to the respective shop supervisor, the supervisor will submit his job description to the engineer in charge of the office, the job description will flow sequentially from the engineer to the production manager and from there to the general manager. Such details should be transparent and unbreakable.

It is important to remember here that through "Directing" instructions flow from higher to lower levels of the organizational structure and through "Reporting" job descriptions flow from lower to higher levels. This is called scholarly principle or hierarchical authority.
